Phyllis HallPhyllis Hall's aim is to enable the viewer to reach beyond the canvas to a magical sense; to depict ideas which cannot be represented by visible means: "to make the invisible, visible". Her work is concerned with the dynamic, mysterious world of creation. The abstract images provide a parallel to nature but do not depict it & it is the artist's hope that the viewer may see something of the eternal. After a lifetime of teaching, Phyllis gained a MA in Fine Art and has held many successful exhibitions. She is inspired by landscapes in England and France, and by fragments of poetry. Her 'Deepest France' collection is a culmination of many years of being part of a rural community in Correze, which is situated in Limousin, South West France. |
