Anna Keiller

Anna was born in Copenhagen and grew up in Sweden. She has now set up home in Hastings where she has her studio and is a member of the Rye Society of Artists.

Anna’s torsos are hand built in molachite clay, adopting a mixture of press-moulding and coiling techniques. The vibrant colours are achieved by smoke firing using a range of specially adapted glazes and oxides. The torsos are natural body size so between 15” and 25” tall and hang from hooks fitted to the back. Anna’s Fat Birds, Gods and Angels are all made with the same molachite clay, oxides and glazes and each one is individual and a work of art in its own right.
